Spring Into Easter: Embrace the Renewal and Rejoice in The Season

Spring Into Easter: Embrace the Renewal and Rejoice in The Season

It’s March, which means it’s officially spring  (in two more days to be exact). It’s time to get festive and bring on the cute and colorful decorations! Easter is early this year (March 31st). So let’s start decorating and prepare for your Easter festivities!

Easter is one of those holidays where it has become a large commercial holiday. Now, don’t get me wrong I love the cute wreaths, tablescapes and decor. However, there is a bigger meaning to Easter. I enjoy keeping it simple while remembering the real reason for the season.

The More You Know, The More You Grow

Easter is a perfect opportunity to reflect and recalibrate what you do daily. What things do you do that grow your faith stronger? Are there things that aren’t benefiting you, is there something you can give up or take a break from? Giving something up that isn’t benefiting your spirit automatically creates a time and space for you to introduce something that will.

In true Burleson family fashion, my kids have to give a speech or presentation about Easter. This year my daughter is giving up Tik-Tok, and repurposing her scroll time into dedicated time to focus on filling her spirit in positive ways. I enjoy encouraging myself and my family to dive into the meanings of holidays and challenging ourselves to understand and engage with its true purpose.

Spring into Decorating

Spring is filled with pastel colors which are known to have an uplifting effect on your mood. After a long and cold winter we have experienced across the U.S., I think we all are ready to lift our spirits.

  1. Decorate Your Porch- Add a wreath to your door, doormat or even some fresh florals.
  2. Tablescape – If you are hosting, add some festive chargers under your plates, simple florals as a centerpiece, wooden cross, pastel eggs whatever catches your eye.
  3. Brighten Up Everyday Spaces – Add a little color onto your mantel, bookshelves or anywhere that will catch your eye and brighten your day.

Celebration, Laughter and Love

No matter how you chose to celebrate your holiday together, let’s be grateful for a bountiful life, pour out hope into our family and friends and remember to celebrate that He has Risen! Something that always does well is playing a fun game that gets everyone laughing! Laughter is a powerful medicine for the soul!  It stamps the heart as a special memory and commemorates an important time with the ones you love.  So this Easter, enjoy the food, celebrate that Jesus is ALIVE and do something fun that heals the heart!  Happy Easter!

With Love,
