Happy Thanksgiving Fam! It’s that time of the year again! The holiday season is officially here and you know I’m all about any excuse to host a party, gather the family, and spread some good vibes. I love reflecting on everything I’m thankful for, and honestly, there’s so much from this year that I am beyond grateful for.
Family: The Heart of It All
First and foremost, I am incredibly blessed by my family. I have a loving and supportive husband who encourages and supports all of my dreams and for that I am truly thankful. Then, there are my three children, my heart and soul of who I am and why I do what I do.
It’s been such a dream watching my two boys play football together at the same University, but on opposite sides of the ball! I get to attend games and cheer for them individually and collectively. It’s been amazing to see them grow as brothers and now as collegiate teammates and young men. I’m forever grateful for God’s blessings in my life.
And, of course, I am beyond thankful for my sweet Mia Pearl. As the boys venture off into their new chapters, we get to start a fresh chapter with Mia in high school. We’re making new memories with her as a student, a volleyball player, a Nickelodeon Slime Time correspondent, and as just Mia Pearl. This is also a reminder that time moves fast and it’s important to create memories and savor the moments.. So, we’re making sure to soak up these final years with her at home before she also grows up and ventures away from home.
Business & Travel: A Year of Big Milestones
Did I already mention how supportive my family is? It’s so important to have that strong foundation behind you, especially when you’re juggling so many exciting things! This year has been full of amazing business ventures.
I’ve been back on the road traveling for insideLINES Podcast as a solo host, visiting different cities, and making personal connections with incredible women in and around the NFL. I’ve truly enjoyed speaking with these ladies in person on their own home turf and having surprise co-hosts along the way. It has been refreshing forming relationships and learning from each of the guests. My biggest learning lesson from the first podcast 5 years ago to now is realizing that you are your superpower and being vulnerable is your gift to the world. It has helped me individually and collectively with the amazing guests I’ve had on the podcast. I hope we all realize that we only be who God has called us to and to lean into that wholeheartedly and trust that God will continue opening up the right doors for us to enter.
Speaking of doors opened, it’s been a huge year for Ladies Playbook too! In April, we officially kicked off our launch of Ladies Playbook after two years of putting this into fruition. We signed our first team this season in August. Thank you to the Seattle Seahawks for believing in Ladies Playbook and supporting the ladies of the Seahawks players. On November 11th, we launched the Ladies Playbook App in November! It has been a dream come true and the ladies absolutely love the support on the app!
Ladies Playbook is all about building community and real, meaningful connections. And I’ve been traveling even more this year to ensure the women joining our platform truly feel what we stand for: showing up, providing resources and supporting one another through the NFL journey!
It’s hard to believe we’re only six months into this launch — but we’ve already come so far and we’re just getting started! There’s so much more up our sleeves, so stay tuned for what’s next.
Intentional Living: Making Every Moment Count
Both family and work-life balance are important, but even deeper than that is the intention behind how we spend our time. Whether it’s time with family, friends, coworkers, or business partners, I’m incredibly grateful for the people I’ve surrounded myself with. I’m blessed to spend time with like-minded individuals, pouring into those who seek the same things. It’s so crucial to spend our time wisely, with those who inspire us, challenge us, and build us up. Intentional relationships, open communication, and a strong, healthy support system are everything.
Looking Ahead: The Excitement of What’s to Come
Time moves quickly, and we have to make the most of it. But we also need to make sure we’re filling our own cups while pouring into others. After all, we’re better together than apart. As we approach the final stretch of 2024, I’m looking forward to slowing down a bit, soaking everything in, and appreciating what’s left of this year.
Before you know it, 2025 will be here, and you know what that means, it’s go time!
With love,
AB
